PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Target group: (Cruise) Guides and employees from destinations management organizations from Sweden, Poland, Germany and Lithuania and further guides in the South Baltic Sea regions

Objective: Qualify 15 trainers 

When:  7 September 2022

Time: 10:00 – 16:00 

How: ZOOM

Length of seminar: 1 full day (incl. breaks)

AGENDA DAY I

Block I

10:00 -10:30

(approximately 30 min)

Welcoming of participants and aim of this seminar

Moderators:
Gunnar Platz, Planco Institut as project coordinators to overall project (+ additional moderator tbc)

Contents:
– Seminar based on train the trainer and ambassador approach
– Enable trainers to further train future trainers in their regions
– Provide checklists and tools for practical use
– Very practice-oriented
– Break-out sessions of seminar group to divide participants into several sub groups of 3 or 4 participants each
– Fulfilling sustainability approach to pass on our joint-approach
– Depending on survey prior to seminar carried out, presentation of survey results

“Who is who?”
By means of a geographical map, participants can pin where they are coming from (as it is an international group, quite interesting to learn about this) Approx. 15 min

Introduction & Presentation of prepared recordings & videos

(parts of theory module recordings from lecture 1 Karin Schatzberg and lecture 5 Jessica Köhler)

“What is the deal with storytelling and how to become a successful storyteller” Lecture about how to introduce and appeal to cruise guests
Speaker: Karin Schatzberg, Reisebüro Schatzberg and lecturer in the frame of educating cruise guides-to-be in Wismar
Approx. 45 min + 10 min Q&A session

15 min break

Block II

12:20 – 13:00

Presentation of task & first break-out sessions in terms of group exercise

Participants are divided into smaller groups Approx. 30 min + 10 min Q&A session

Block III

13:10 – 14:05
What constitutes the quality of good presenting?
Find out about appropriate presentation techniques incl. does and don’t in presenting
Speaker: from another destination (tbc)
Approx. 45 min + 10 min Q&A session

Block IV

Presentation and conclusions from the workshop + Q&A (Responsible from each group + Moderator) Approx. 30 min
